The Gas Fire

Snow everywhere
Beautiful
but deathly cold

Inside the gas fire fails
For the second
time this
Winter

Gone the comforting
blanket of warmth
emanating
from
the fireplace

Whip out
the vacuum cleaner
Do a quick dismantal and clean
of the soot encrusted
pseudo coals
and Shazam
It works

And I am warm again
