It's the middle of Winter
But not cold
Not unlike the home of Xmas
But Maqqah centres here
not Jerusalem.

Incongruous images of red gentlemen
jangle or jingle
on the nerves
No mangers here
But plenty of camels.

Xmas is an empty season
work as usual
But give me the Eids
Anytime.
